Did the site go down there for a while? I was getting "service not available" for a while when trying to log in and I had to reset my password to log back in when the site was back up, was this part of the upgrade?

Yes site was offline at lunchtime. When brought back up, most (including mods, admin) should all have been prompted to update passwords.

This was not part of the upgrade but my suspicion is that a long time ago we set passwords to be renewed every coupled of years so this may have been triggered during this step.

Just in general, we will keep updates on outages, maintenance and progress updates up on our FB page.

New version now in place.

Just running through some tests but should be good to go if anyone wants to try.

I'm signed in and all ok.

The main function I used on the old version of the app was just the "Unread" section. I've figured out how to view my "Unread" posts on the new app, but is there any way to view the list of unread threads in a more compact list fashion than this?

I was prompted earlier to change my password when the site went down.

I left it for a few hours and when I came back to the site it did not ask for my password then. Maybe a glitch whilst the website is restarting...

Nice big BMW logo in place. Good man Mike

Good to have it back but not sure how I feel about the new layout.

Isn't the new layout to do with tapatalk and nothing to do with autostadt?

You can downgrade to a previous version on android.

See older versions here:

I know that. From a UX point of view I think it's a step backwards. I'm sure I'll get used it...

I'm on iOS so no downgrading.

By the way, forgot to mention this earlier but tapatalk will index the forum which can talk between 36 and 48 hours.

I'm still on the older android version and that's how it'll stay unless things change!
