Is there a particular technique to putting the sticker on without ballsing it up?

Make sure the window is good and clean, warm up the decal between your hands so that it comes loose from the backing easily and take your time.

When you peel off the front, use a cloth to rub the backing so it sticks to the glass and peel it off slowly.
Some of the smaller parts of the decal you have to be careful with.
