While the Irish summer is on, then off, then on again (nothing new there!) it's clear to see that people seem busier than ever out cleaning, polishing, tuning/improving or buying/upgrading their pride and joy motors. Everyone has felt the pinch in some way or another over the past number of years but overall there is a great sense of hardcore enthusiasm and progress being made with more and more projects starting or restarting as this year progresses.
2017 appears to have an even bigger selection of events to attend and activities to partake in to allow you to "get out and drive" as Mr Walker would say.
At Autostadt, we've had a great start to the year with our "Offseason" events such as the ever popular Rolling Road days with Joe & TDR down in Stone Motorsport through to another first in the form of 3 very successful "Detailing" training days in Dublin, Galway and Cork to help people learn a bit and also have the craic in advance of the show season.
So what have we in store for the 2017 summer and autumn months?
First up, 23rd June represents a significant day for us all - our 5th Birthday
Hard to believe but not possible without a lot of work behind the scenes and even more importantly the postings and contributions made by you the users both here and through our increasingly popular Facebook channels. Thank you 
So in addition to attending as many of the main shows as possible, we will continue to bring our own mix of dynamic activities to you all and this year will be no different.
The following is a brief summary of what we will be contributing into the mix and we do hope to see you and some or all to have the craic...
June:
Ostküste Show - 2nd year and we are delighted to support Tsar and the gang again this year. THE Trevor Brady is handling this one.
Castlewellan Show - big favourite for many and a real relaxed oldschool vibe. Shane Mcg is the man on point here.
Launch of Autostadt new Polo shirts and other merchandise
The Autostadt "5 in 5 competition" - THE Trevor Brady will be along shortly to explain what this will be all about and the goodies/prizes on offer
July:
Great success last year so we've invited him back...TedRun 2 The sequel! Further information of this years event will be posted shortly with Mr Horan at the helm to pick out a brand new selection of Irish countryside and roads to match. He will be aided by the ever present #Ro!
August:
WAR2 - Wild Atlantic Run was another hugely successful event last year. A weekend of great roads, great scenery, great food and almighty craic on the Wild Atlantic Way. New route this year with Mr Brennan and Mycoft figuring it all out. More details to follow but it's going to be a cracker.
September:
East Coast Roast - we travel the length and breadth of Ireland to events but pay little attention to the East Coast - watch this space. A plan to address this is already underway as we head into the autumnal months
October:
Trackday - we're teaming up with Rob and Trackdays.ie to put on a Track and a bit of Show and Shine event for October. Probably the last outing before the winter takes grip
November onwards:
We are at early stage planning a Winter calendar. A bit back indoors but maybe a couple of surprises too

So they are just the main highlights - more to be added but as said we hope to see you at as many of these as possible. Life is too short so we just want to bring our flavour into the mix and build on the successes of the past 5 years.
