Autostadt would like to sincerely pay our respects to the family and many friends of Eddie McClean aka Fast Eddie who has passed away.

A colorful character and at times a controversial one who touched many people in many different ways but absolutely no one could question his love and enthusiasm for his cars and his openness in sharing his knowledge which spanned many marques not just VW.

Whatever way he touched you we would ask you to join us in sparing a respectful moment and wishing him and his family and friends nothing but good will in these difficult times.

We often bicker and say or do things we regret. We often moan and groan about our cars, our jobs or even life in general but a life is a life and when it’s gone it’s gone.

We are not sure of funeral arrangements but we’ll tag a close friend of his Tufty Bailey who will hopefully be able to let you know.

So it’s a final farewell to a fellow enthusiast.

”Up the Reds” Eddie, keep that Mk2 20vt rolling where ever you may be.
