Who is behind AutoStadt?
The people behind the creation of this site in alphabetical order are:

Dec, Geo, Glenn, Mike and Neilo all of who have an equal share in the ownership.

Why create AutoStadt?
Simple, we like you share a huge passion and enthusiasm for predominantly German manufactured motorcars and wanted to create a place where people who share this passion can join in, feel welcome and feel part of a community - an online community where people can share their motoring experiences, look for and give advice as well as a chance to escape the many challenges we all face in day to day life :D

Our motto is "Autostadt, ein neuer Anfang, eine stärkere Gemeinschaft" which loosely means, "AutoStadt, a new beginning, a stronger community"

We'd like to take this opportunity to thank you for registering and supporting this initiative. This is for you and only with your support and contribution will we make it a success.

Hi All,

Many thanks for the unprecedented support in past 12 hours. We're closing fast on 100 users :shock: which is a tad bigger than the 10-12 we thought we'd get in same time frame to do some initial "engine" running in!

We're listening carefully to your comments and suggestions so please keep them coming.

Please also feel free to spread the word but most importantly continue posting 8-)

OK, go easy on "the spreading the word" bit - we've just hit 150 registered users in less than 24 hours!

So much for it being Beta site.

A huge thanks to all for your support and as said by Mike we didn't expect to be at this level in week1.
Keep the suggestions coming and we'll be adding more functionality as time goes by with one eye always on stability of the platform.
