The East Coast's newest show, Ostkuste 2017 will be held for the second year in the grounds of "The Farrier's In" in scenic Avoca, Co. Wicklow.

since it's an "Oldskool VW" show, there is an upper age limit on the cars on display. Basically, if your model of car was in production in 1995 then you're in, even if your car is from a more recent model year. However, if your car wasn't in production at all until after 1995 then you're out of luck. For example, a mk3 Golf of any age would qualify but not a mk4 Newer cars will be welcome but will be arranged separate from the main show arena.

There is camping the night before for anyone organised enough, it's in the field next door to the arena and will be subject to a small fee to the owner of the field AFAIK. More on that as details become available.

There's an organised drive the morning of the show, The Ostkuste crew will be leading a convoy on a tour of the local countryside before returning to the arena for the static display.

We are organising a small display of members cars from Autostadt.ie. We have limited space and we'd like as broad a range of cars as possible so if you're a regular here, you're bringing your suitably oldskool car and would like to be included in the display, please fill in your name and which car you're bringing along. In an effort to get a variety of cars, we may only have room for one of a particular model so please don't be put out if you're not in the display. There will be plenty of room alongside for all comers.

I'll start the attendance list, from which we'll pick a few cars which are suitably representative of what Autostadt.ie is all about. We're not trying to be exclusive, all autostadt.ie members will be welcome on the day and there's a can of something non-alcoholic in the cool box for everyone Make sure you stop into the autostadt tent and shoot the breeze on the day
