You rallied, jumped and drifted that poor Landcruiser..

I was busy trying to be Clerk of the Course :!!

We (ALMC rally club) got special dispensation from white river to run a stage or our endurance rally there.

If you want to put cars on the track, you must first give them a deposit of 2K .....
If you even disturb the grass at the side of the track then deposit gone.

Whiteriver is very good. I have been there a few times.. Great big car park there too, maybe it could be a meet and race?? I'm sure if we book in advance we can have a gathering in the car park. If all else fails, we could go to Applegreen after racing..

I'd be on for it anyway. Great idea

I'd be on for karting, location and date dependent.
Coincidentally I saw this posted up on one of the noticeboards at work today:

What about organizing a few country wide. Top 3 or 5 drivers from each qualify for a showdown at one of the bigger or more central tracks?

Just a suggestion as we'll never reach agreement on a location to get started otherwise.

I know the guy who organises the Karting season in the Porsche club so maybe he can advise and maybe get us some discounts.

I like that idea mike. There are various tracks around to suit everyone from almost everywhere for a qualification round and pending how many locations can dictate how many from each go through to the final grand prix.

Mark Quinlivan is well up in the kart in circles and I'm sure would help with a point of contact for group discounts

I live less than 5 mins from the Midlands Karting in Edgeworthstown so I'd be up for that!

100% interested in this wherever it is!

I've organised a few Grand Prix's in Whiteriver over the past few years as a annual mountain bikers end of season thingy and its been brilliant (especially in the p*ssing rain)

One issue is that they require a credit card deposit of approx 10euro per person to secure the booking, so whoever is organizing it may have to fork out unless someone knew someone in the Karting centre that could book without deposit?

The indoor karting just out side limerick is very good. Twisty longer than you would expect and matched karts.

I really enjoyed the karting after Ted one .

Santry also has a good track. Located near the Airport so handy access from most places. I haven't been on it in good while so others might be more updated on a review off the karts / track.

if needed i could call in to see if there was a deal to be done.
