A car well ahead of its time.

Here it is in pics I took in limerick in 07.

It was being discussed over on FB last night.

That's the one, That's the year and where I saw it on its first outing .. was it in Performance VW or VW+ Magazine shortly after ??

Smooth Engine bay was a fairly new concept back then too

The PVW magazine that it featured in as the cover car was in the back of the car on Sunday, the November 2006 issue. A testament to the man how well it held up for over 11 years.

and a lot of so called smoothed bays subsequently were poorly done or ended up cracking badly.

First time attendee and have to say was in awe at the variety!
Huge thanks to Josh on directions, also Darren for the bottle of detailer(your car is even better in the flesh!).
Great to catch up with people I havnt seen in a while, and great to see enthuasism still there for the scene.
What really amazed me was the different makes/models,so easy to forget that those who follow those makes have the same passion as we do for the vag scene.
Im aware there were some rather expensive motors on show, and I know the red mk2 was incredible, and I know im gonna show my age here, but that Nissan Patrol will live with me for a long time!!Apoligies
Congrats to organisers, hope to see yee in Fermoy :-bd

Thanks from the Limerick Classic & Vintage Car Club to everyone who supported the 2017 show .

The sun shone & there was a great turnout of VWs & other vehicles from all over Ireland ,which
made the voluntary efforts of the organisers & helpers worthwhile.

Thunder Action Sports put on a great stunt display with their BMX bikes & they attracted large crowds all day. Thanks to John Knightly for bringing along some of his bike collection to the show.

Great to see Aidan O'Sheas MK2 out again , its first Irish showing in many years ,he brought it to Edition 38 in 2016.
As usual ,Trevor B. had one of the WORST cars at the show & his latest made its international debut.... :)

Thanks to Volkswagen Group Ireland & Irish Vintage Scene / Retro Classics magazines who were the main sponsors .

The LCVCC will be making donations to CARI & Children's Ark following the success of the show.

That blue mk 1 is a serious car too. Wasn't at the show this year but I was talking to the owner last year. That car is "baby-ed". Great to see it out again.
