Guys there are 2 early bird specials left so first in with payment to Trackdays.ie@gmail.com will take them.

We'll try and get this extended but no promises at this point.

1/2 day sessions can be morning or afternoon.

Thanks for the cooperation :)

Fab idea and setup. I'll be looking for future ones when the B8 has more oomph!

You'd still enjoy it. I think people are still confusing this as if a "race" but its not :)
And even if you had all the power in the world, Mondello is such a track that is quite technical and renders that you are lucky if you get any higher than 4th gear unless on a cool down lap maybe.

What we are trying to promote here via ALL the options from the 30 euro Session right up to full day is that this is a golden opportunity to learn about your car and its limits. This can be achieved without driving it on the edge. The opportunity also includes access to coaches to answer questions about braking and cornering and about getting the right line on a track.

Well said brother. I'll be doing well to have 100bhp but that won't stop the fun. If you're racing, it's yourself you're competing against!

Many experienced track dayers actually change up and cruise a bit on the straights

Hi all, Rob from Trackdays.ie here - thought I should jump into the thread and introduce myself. We're really looking forward to hosting Autostadt.ie on the 17th, I think it's going to be a great day. If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to ask.

I thought it might be a good idea to post up a few links to articles on our blog that are aimed at beginners and should answer a lot of the questions or worries some of you might have about bringing your car on track.

FAQ: http://trackdays.ie/track-day-faqs/
Top 12 do's and don'ts: http://trackdays.ie/top-12-track-day-dos-donts/
Track day etiquette & overtaking rules: http://trackdays.ie/track-day-etiquette ... ing-rules/
What modifications does my car need? http://trackdays.ie/basic-track-car-modifications/

As Mike mentioned, trackdays are not about racing or thrashing your car to within an inch of its life - they're about having the craic with a bunch of like-minded people, at least that's our approach. If you want to push your car to its limits, you can, if you just want to go for a spirited drive around the track you can do that too. We've got a team of instructors on hand as well, who will be only too happy to jump in with you for a lap or two and show you the ropes.

Another common myth is that your car needs to be fast, modified or sporty. Not true. Any car, as long as it's in good mechanical condition can take part in a track day and you can have an absolute blast, whether you're in 40 grand's worth of Ginetta race car or 400 quids worth of a Fiesta as the picture below from last weekend's trackday illustrates! Hope to see as many of you as possible at Mondello on the 17th! :) :)

You and I will likely be at the lower end of the power figures but as has been pointed out it doesn't matter

Places are filling up guys so get the names down. Even if to get at least a single session registered as a placeholder.
Also, don't forget the second driver option. Last time a few did this where the car was shared between 2. Very economical way to get out on track.

Can you also mention what car you are bringing, please? The reason for this is that Trackdays publish a list of cars so that you can see what else you can expect to see on the day. Maybe a chance to chat with other owners of cars that interest you.
