Folks if interested in the free coaching conversations or sessions can you please drop a PM. Everyone has to learn so it’s not a slight in anyone’s driving skill or pride by asking for this advice! Well worth it especially as it’s part of the deal we’ve negotiated with the guys at TrackDays.ie

Lads and lassies coming from the south or Midlands, the M7 is a right bottle neck up to the turnoff for Mondello, could be worth looking at an alternative route. Or else allow an extra bit of time. I think myself I'll go via Tullamore / Carbury.

Great turn out for this guys, looking forward to seeing you all on Friday. I'll post some final instructions here before the event just for anyone new who may not know where to go.

One other thing that may be of interest to you guys....
We've got a new venture based at Mondello called Virtual Race Academy. We run virtual reality driving simulators and we have a 1 hour team endurance race taking place on Friday lunch time during the track day.

We're inviting 3 teams of 4 drivers to compete in an hour long endurance race on Mondello's International circuit, including pitstops, driver changes, refueling and tyre management!

The winning team of 4 will each get a half day track day with Trackdays.ie - total prize value €480!
The cost to enter is €100 per team (€25 per driver) and your lunch will be included too!

There is 1 team space left and I thought it might be cool if you guys wanted to put an Autostadt team in?

Looking forward to this, a few bits still to do with the car and most likely a few bits that won't get done!

Weather looks to be fairly dry too

Thanks for all the interest in this people. It’s now completely sold out!

Safe journey to the event on Friday. Also don’t forget we are having some post track day food if anyone wants to come along.

We’ll have pic and video threads rolling so please feel free to contribute your own ones once they go live.

Owing to a stupid shoulder injury I may be forced to miss this which is incredibly frustrating but the rest of the team will be present and you are all in great hands with Rob King and rest of the TrackDays.ie guys and girls. Enjoy!

Guys, there will be 2 garages dedicated to Autostadt drivers tomorrow. Rob King have marked off the area. Please park up in the area.

Also, without a doubt this was the highlight of my day:

Saw something crazy in the mirror behind me. It sounded like a jet engine, and went like absolute stink.

Some highlights of this insane machine:
- Home-built active aerodynamics (check out the movable rear wing under braking and acceleration)
- F20C (Honda S2000 Engine) with a giant turbo (seriously, listen to it spool up as it passes)
- Nascar gearbox
- Custom home-made everything (I saw freaking chicken wire in there somewhere)

The S5 was no slouch on the straights, and this thing walked away from me like I was parked. Nuts. Apparently it has already won a championship. I definitely wouldn't fancy going up against it...
