Yeah, that was kind of the inspiration Ro. I know it’s not even 10:30 but I’d murder a Smokestack!

Okay, let’s start gathering names for next week. As mentioned above, we’re looking at changing the venue to the underground car park in Wellpark so we can avail of the food at Rockin’ Joe’s (Eddie Rockets).

Does the second Tuesday of the month still work for people or would a different evening suit the majority better? I’ll start a list of names below:

1. Eoghan

I think it's worth a try at this location and to get a bit of feedback then afterwards.

Regarding the 2nd Tuesday of each month and whether or not the time and day prevents other members from attending, we would need those members to let us know if this suits them or not to get an idea of what we can do to make the meets suit as much people as possible.

Maybe a separate thread can be started sometime seeking new ideas for the meets, as I know some people mentioned before that they would like an element of driving to be introduced. This would be a good idea in the Spring when the eves get a little brighter.

I should be around for this also and I like the idea of changing it up a little. One thing I noticed regarding the second Tuesday is that it often falls very close to the C&C at Briarhill so maybe an idea to change to offset this a little more, in case lads don't want two meets close to one another. Just my 2c...

I meant to mention this too. Last month the Cannonball Event was on the Saturday, C&C on the Sunday and the meet was scheduled for that Tuesday.

The meet last month ended up being put forward to the 3rd Tuesday and worked out better.

C&C is on this Sunday and the Meet scheduled for Tuesday.

We can discuss pushing it forward to the 3rd Tuesday of the month anyway at the next meet.

I'm good with well park. Well see how it goes. It can be busy with the cinema so we may not get parking beside each other. I'll be finishing up 7.45 on Tuesday so I'll probably be there at 8.

Right so, 7.30pm in Wellpark Underground Car Park tonight lads.

Rockin' Joe's is open for food until 11pm so we can tip on up whenever suits.

What did people think of:

- Location?

- Going for food?

Some good ideas were shared about introducing a bit of driving into the meets when the brighter evenings arrive next year. I think all agreed that would be a good idea.

A few not too distant locations to drive to were mentioned:

- Renville Golf Course overlooking Galway Bay
- Pádraicín's or the Connemara Coast Hotel in Furbo
- Heading to the Athlone Midlands Meet

In the meantime, if anyone has any more ideas/suggestions/opinions etc. on the meets or on changing/improving them, fire away.

I felt location was better Darren tbh. Food was great idea, especially for people like myself coming from work directly.

Also as you said and we all chatted about the idea of meeting and driving somewhere is a real runner, especially for the summer evenings defo.

Ballyloughan is a must.
Cathedral / woodquay at dusk is a must too.

Next Tuesday!

Cars and Coffee will be on this Sunday from 11-1 if you're around.

There'll be a good few VW's at it, 2 Mk4 Anniversaries among others.

It was suggested before (and above) that it might be best to push the meets forward to the 3rd Tuesday of each month so there's a week between them and the Cars and Coffee Meet.

I think it would be better anyway, rather than having 2 Meets on in the same week.

Thoughts?

Okay, let’s get a bit of a list started for next Tuesday. Moving to Wellpark worked for the last one so let’s try it agin. There from 19:30 and we’ll grab a burger around 20:00ish.
