Hi all, Rob from Trackdays.ie here - thought I should jump into the thread and introduce myself. We're really looking forward to hosting Autostadt.ie on the 17th, I think it's going to be a great day. If anyone has any questions at all, please feel free to ask.
I thought it might be a good idea to post up a few links to articles on our blog that are aimed at beginners and should answer a lot of the questions or worries some of you might have about bringing your car on track.

http://trackdays.ie/basic-track-car-modifications/As Mike mentioned, trackdays are not about racing or thrashing your car to within an inch of its life - they're about having the craic with a bunch of like-minded people, at least that's our approach. If you want to push your car to its limits, you can, if you just want to go for a spirited drive around the track you can do that too. We've got a team of instructors on hand as well, who will be only too happy to jump in with you for a lap or two and show you the ropes.
Another common myth is that your car needs to be fast, modified or sporty. Not true. Any car, as long as it's in good mechanical condition can take part in a track day and you can have an absolute blast, whether you're in 40 grand's worth of Ginetta race car or 400 quids worth of a Fiesta as the picture below from last weekend's trackday illustrates! Hope to see as many of you as possible at Mondello on the 17th!
